Marlon Anderson

Short, rotund left-handed pinch-hitter with little power but an uncanny ability to drop bloop singles to right. His first go-round in 2005 was highlighted by a pinch-hit, game-tying, bottom-of-the-ninth, inside-the-park home run, off Frankie Rodriguez that puctuated that team's signature victory.

Returned with a torrid second half in 2007 after being released by the Dodgers leading to a two-year contract that included a bad year when he was out-of-shape and unproductive. Released early in 2009.
